Valued at approximately $AUD983 million, this ongoing project aims to guarantee long-term water supply and security to Gladstone’s major consumers through the construction of a 117-kilometer pipeline, owned and managed by Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB).

Associated with Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB):

  • Delivering commercial strategies and advice: Tasked with overseeing, developing and executing detailed commercial strategies regarding change management, budgeting and cost performance, procurement methods and the most desirable contract frameworks to ensure efficient and seamless delivery of the FGP Project

  • Managing contracts and disputes: Responsible for managing and drafting contract correspondence, advising on any commercial issues that arise in relation to specific contract clauses, guiding and briefing the Delivery Authority (DA) team to ensure that all are aware of contractual obligations and expectations, identifying and preparing for contractual risk, and effectively addressing/managing any major or minor contract disputes.

  • Ensuring good project governance and providing directions: Leading and managing teams in order to foster a culture based on good governance and the highest standard of professional ethics, while also ensuring detailed direction notice(s) are prepared and issued to the Contractor when necessary.

  • Reporting, record keeping and managing stakeholder relationships: Liaising with the Project Controls Manager to establish effective reporting cycle, calendar and communication tools so as to guarantee issues and claims are responded to proactively rather than in a reactionary manner, as well as ensuring timely delivery of the project. Managing, maintaining and streamlining stakeholder communications and expectations. Finally, ensuring all project, regulatory and business reporting standards are effectively adhered to while accurately maintaining all commercial records inclusive of the Early Warnings Register(s); and the Compensation Events Register(s).
